Zelda: Twlight Princess - Review
The wait is finally over. Zelda fans have been waiting for years for this new Zelda and it's finally here. I was incredibly excited when they announced it several years ago and even more so when they announced the Wii version. I had really high expectations for Twilight Princess for the Nintendo Wii. I was especially interested to see how the story would follow on from the previous games, the graphical changes, and the brand new control scheme we've all been hearing so much about. And after many hours playing this game, I am pleased to say it has not let me down.
GAMEPLAY
The gameplay is just amazing. They did a great job on the controls for the Wii. Several new features when it comes to attacking and some of the classic features. You got swinging the wiimote to slash with the sword, spin the nunchuck to spin the sword, aim using the wiimote and fire arrows etc. One of the great features is that you can attack using your sword while riding the horse and use your bow and arrow as well, this is very fun indeed. You then have another form know as the wolf form which turned out to be rather interesting than expected. He can dig, sense, and sink his teeth into his foes. You can shake the remote to attack as the wolf as well. But dont think it ends there, they have also added fishing into the game. Swing the wiimote and reel with the nunchuck to grab a fish, pretty simple but hard to get the fish to grab onto the hook itself. However they could have made it a little harder as the boss fights and dungeons were a little too easy for me.
STORY
Without spoiling anything for you great zelda fans out there that have not got the game yet, the storyline was remarkable and just as i expected it to be. It starts of pretty dull in the start but as you pregress in the game it gets much more indulging and you'll be addicted to playing the damn thing just to see what's gonna happen next. The evil Zant has cloaked Hyrule in darkness and you have to restore the light but there's much more to it, dont want to spoil it for you. However there is a feeling that nintendo did add some parts from ocarina of time to give it that zelda feel. The story is great, but it would be nothing without the character development. Nintendo went all out with character development here. You feel for the characters in this game.
GRAPHICS
Yes, the graphics are not top notch for a Wii game, but it did not take away from the overall gaming experience. It is very enviromentally interactive and is very detailed when it comes to the forests, trees and the hyrule field and the water effects.
The characters have been designed extremely weel and the lighting and brilliant design of things certainly make this a treat to look at. Some places are a blurr when viewed close though. But everything else is sharp and detailed as it needs to be which is great.
The amount of people and the interactiveness in hyrule castle is amazing, they all seem to be doing something in their own time and does not look computer based. Lake Hylia looks absolutely amazing with all that glittering water effects and the colours of goron mines is just great. Some of the villages have been redesigned like kakariko village.
Midna has a cool, unique design, with strange morphing hair and weird helmet. Link looks like he is in his teens amd his wolf form looks even better, with a fancy hairstyle and fancy markings all over his body which does glow during some points of the game.
SOUND
The music in the game is great but again, several of the tracks have been taken from Ocarina of Time such as Lost Woods, Zora's Domain, Goron City and Kakariko Village. The new tunes are just as great from the mysterious Faron Woods and the creepy Twilight Realm. You will love the music in this as you play the game, will get you into any mood which the characters are facing at that paticular point in the game. May get a little repetative during the dungeon fights when you are stuck though but great music none the less. The sound effects are jsut as good such as the sword slashing and water splashes. The sound quality on the speaker isnt too bad but gets annoying at times during the game so turn it down if you want.
OVERALL IMPRESSIONS
This game is not perfect, and there are a few flaws in the game which prevent it from being the great game everyone thought it would have been. This game has a massive adventure with tight gameplay absorbing plot with enjoyable characters adn the graphics are just stunning. The wiimote works great with the game and go well together and has beautiful music. However the game did have several references to Ocarina of Time, and some of the missions/dungeons can drag on a bit later in the game. Also i think it was too easy, especially the final boss fights and could have made it a little harder.
This game is a must buy and i would rate it 9/10 so go to your local gamestore now and purchase it. Hope you had fun reading.

RE: Zelda: Twlight Princess - Review
Personally if i were you, go buy the collectors edition of ocarina of time for the gamecube and play it on your wii before you carry on with twilight princess. Ocarina of time is the best game of all time adn you will be muchy familiar with the things on it.
