Tiger Woods PGA

After Mid March (Release Date)...
Dad says:
Fancy a nice quick round of golf?
Boy says:
Not if its on that stupid WiiBox thing, the Wii Play golf sucks! Ive done it a hundred times and its so boring. The characters are also really, really REALLY dull.
Dad says:
Nah, why not try Tiger Woods PGA?

So we did, I took it upon myself to see if dad was right and if all this hype over how Wii Sports Golf was crap compared to a nice squeaky clean new (paid for) version of the somewhat popular game 'golf'. Unlike the somewhat quirky and jittery movement of the golf game supplied for free the Tiger Woods game will handle literally like a dream, in a recent interview with IGN the Developer of the game said:

IGN interview with Wesley Curver Wrote:
Early on in the project, we figured out that in addition to the Wii Remote's infrared "direct pointing device" the controller has the ability to pick up acceleration on a few different axes and rotational orientation. With a natural golf swing in mind, we started with an acceleration-based swing because it made the most sense.

Sounds impressive eh? well it is this is the first sports game where I believe they will have got the balance between accuracy and speed just right and the game definitely benefits from it. Later on in the interview the developer also commented on how the WiiMote will give 100% power when swung as hard as possible, unlike the disappointment of sweating after slicing the equivalent in Wii Sports.
Unfortunately all the information we have at the moment is from the guy who created it so, there may be *some* bias but I am sure time will tell us who is right.
The new aiming system looks to have been improved upon since the (appearing) primitive Wii Sports. Unlike the annoying bar show your speed and then the complicated system of checking where everything is and the wind, and direction, and power then the turf gradient, now you can literally pick up your target and move it around with the WiiMote seamlessly. While the ball is in the air you can then choose the direction of spin allowing you to get it exactly right and (hopefully) get that hole-in-one you've dreamt about.

So?
Well I think this will be one to look out for, as it looks like this should be a great answer to nintendos Wii Sports - Golf game.

Overall Ranking: Watch It!

I'm going to get this because:

1. I've enjoyed previous Tiger Woods.
2. It'll be hella fun on the Wii.
3. Cos I'm cool!

As long as it's better than Wii Sports Golf by a long shot, I'll probably buy it. I play real golf, and I truly love it.

Funnily enough I just watched Gamers TV about the Wii and they said it's a lot harder than Wii Sports cos they've added more features but once you get use to it, it's really good ^^
