It is now common knowledge that the Wii is or has officially outsold the PS3 by a considerable amount of consoles. But does any of that matter, surely the most important bit is trying to hook players on games. Well the NPD fungroup did some research into this recently and here is what they found:

The average PS3 owner owned around 2.7 games.

The average Wii owner owned around 2.2 games.

*this is flawed data because this does not include games supplied via the Internet connection option, 'Virtual Console' system that many users use.
But this still provides useful data, why is the number of games per gamer lower on the Wii, Graphics? Gameplay? addiction to PlayStation games?

I own like 8 Wii games

I actually own 3,
Wii Sports, Red Steel and COD3 But I rent out alot more games than I buy, another thing the study does not show within its data boundries.
